Our Story

In 1981 New Testament Church of Massena was planted out of Christian Fellowship Center in Madrid, NY. It began by families meeting in their homes and before long, after a few moves, it reached our 7-acre property at 265 Andrews St., Massena. In 1982 the first building was constructed which included a worship center as well as space for a private K-12 Christian School. In 1987 a large steel structure was adjoined to the first building to accommodate growth and also provide a larger worship space. In late 2016 the first of several construction phases was begun in the sanctuary space to allow our 2nd floor nursery area to be relocated on the first floor. That phase also included the construction of a large room, also in the previous sanctuary space, for Youth & Children’s ministries as well as several general purpose reasons.

One of NTC’s distinctives from it’s inception was to be an Antioch type church, and consequently has either planted or come along side and strengthened 12 churches during it’s history. On 09/11/2016 another church was started in Plattsburgh, NY and NTC is also presently working in Gulu, Uganda with plans to plant a church there in the future.

With our focus to be a “Christian Community committed to telling God’s redemptive story through through life on life discipleship in local churches,” we believe there will be many more churches planted and strengthened by NTC in the future. As D. L. Moody said, “If God be your partner, make your plans big,” and that, by His Grace, is what we plan to do!

Plan a visit

We understand that attending a church for the first time can be an overwhelming experience. Here are some things you can expect to experience at NTC’s weekend service.

Our services

Our services are about 1 hour and 45 minutes long, starting at 4:30pm on Sunday afternoons.

The service begins with lively, contemporary music and continues with announcements followed by a brief time to greet those around you and concludes with a relevant and life-filled presentation from the Bible.

NTC has no dress code, which is fully apparent when you see everything from jeans to suits most Sundays.

Whatever your style, you’ll fit right in.

Our weekends services are perfect for children of all ages.

Jesus is Real

We’ve seen incredible life transformation, healing and freedom through our belief in the reality of Jesus.
